For electric hoists operating in dusty environments, the following safety measures should be considered: the closed cab should be operated to protect the driver's personal health; the protection level of the motor and main electrical equipment on the electric hoist should be improved accordingly. Under normal conditions, the protection of the crane's motor and electrical appliances is IP44. According to the degree of dust, the sealing performance should be improved accordingly, that is, protection (mainly the level of dust resistance is increased to IP54 or lP64.

Use in humid environment: Under normal circumstances, when the working environment humidity of the electric hoist is not more than 85%, the protection level of the electric hoist is IP44, but currently it is required to adapt to the situation where the humidity is large and humidity is required. It is 100%. Nuclear power plants also have edge dust pollution from nuclear equipment cleaned with high-pressure water. The degree of protection of the lifting equipment used must be increased. Therefore, the electrical protection level of cranes and cranes is used in areas where the humidity is greater than 85% to 100%. It should be IP55. In humid environments, motors above 10kw should use additional preheating and drying devices. The hard motor of the open-air crane should be covered with a rain cover.

Use in high temperature environment: The electric hoist cab should be an enclosed cab with electric fan or air conditioner. Motor windings and housings should be embedded with thermistors and other temperature control devices. When the temperature exceeds a certain limit, turn off the power to protect or increase the strong cooling measures of the motor (usually adding a special electric fan to the motor).
